About

I'm a 7th generation Texan. But while my ancestors rarely strayed more than a day’s wagon ride from home, I travel whenever I get the chance…even cheating on my state with a three-year stint in Miami. It was my first advertising gig out of school: Crispin Porter + Bogusky. It was a special place, packed with talent and fearlessness.

But...Texas was calling.

I had long admired The Richards Group, and in 2006 was lucky enough to be brought onboard. Since then, I've worked for clients such as Chick-fil-A, The Salvation Army, Fiat, Dr Pepper, Choctaw Casino, The Home Depot, Orkin and many others.

In 2014, I became a Creative Group Head at the agency, leading a number of brands: Propane Council, Pie Five Pizza, Grady Hospital, UCHealth, Primrose Schools and Sea Island Resort.

These days, my wife Janet and I stay busy with our two young boys, Preston and Clayton. I also play the fiddle in the western swing band Shoot Low Sheriff. And in the unlikely event that western swing ever makes a comeback, I'm quitting this whole advertising thing.
